Finally I have finished the book. I fell that Mona died in a very strange was buy she deserved to die. I think she was very consider and cared about herself more than others. She would sleep with just about any San Lorenzo citizen. She must have been mad before she died since usually he plays her instrument when she is mad. In the end it was that instrument, contaminated with ice-nine that killed her. Without using ice-nine for its intended propose it has killed many people. I think it is better if it was never invented. Since it went into the water I wonder if the entire world froze over, and how they plan on starting civilization all over again. They would first have to melt the water around the world to get rid of the ice-nine. Over all the book was interesting.

Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonngut Blog #14 (260-287) The END
Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonngut Blog #13 (240-260)
The author tells you in this story that the United States and Union of Soviet Socialist Republics has ice-nine. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics got it from little Newts old girlfriend who broke up with him. I wonder what they will do with their samples of ice-nine. They can run tests on it so try to create it but I don’t think they will actually use it since it will hurt them as well. With their sample if they were to waste it then they would not have another and that is not good. They have to clean up the room that Papa died in and they clean up the big chunks and melt them. After they use fire to burn the floor and melt the ice-nine. Is the only way to get rid of the ice-nine to burn it?
Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonngut Blog #12 (220-240)
In these pages a lot of things happen but one sticks out the most. Papa Lorenzo dies by taking a bit of ice-nine in these pages. I wonder why he would want to do so since he could have had a chance to continue living and get better. If he got better he could go back to whatever he wanted. I am sure that if there were not good doctors in San Lorenzo they could take him to another country to have medical help. I think that the United States is very fond of the country and that they would do it for free. If it were up to me I would only take it if I knew it was impossible for me to get better and that in the long run it would hurt me to live.

Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonngut Blog #11 (200-220)
Johan is told that can become the next president of San Lorenzo for $100,000 a year. They also say that nobody wants to be the president of the island. It is also said that whoever became the next president would marry Mona. First why would they not want to become president of the island? Being the president is like a job since there is pay and they are not elected but just asked if they wanted to become or not. I would love to become a president since I could do almost whatever I wanted and it would be like getting free money since they didn’t really have anything needed to be done. I think that Mona loves everybody on the island and would be happy to marry anybody. i would not want to marry a wife who loved everybody and would care about them more than me.

Angela is mad at society for paying her father like a normal person since he done many things for them. She believed that he should have had more benefits and higher wages, more than every one of his colleagues. I agree with her in the fact that he was not pain as much as he should have been but I think since all of his inventions didn’t benefit society he shouldn’t have been paid so much. I also think that he was happy enough as he was and if he didn’t need any money to survive he would work and do it for free. I think that since he spent so long on his projects he didn’t do anything really special and seemed to be like any normal scientist of his time.

Is there only one taxi on the island? I think that the people who live there don't really use the taxi's since there is only one and that means it must cost a lot of money or else everybody would use it. The book talks about Nestor Aamons, I wonder if he is dead or still living. He seemed to be a very rich and smart person since he built a great house that must cost a lot of money. The people who "own" the island are rich and the people who live there are poor in most cases. Little newt is obsessed with the cats cradle; it is because his father wanted to show it to him and he ran away. i think that newts brother and sister are too mean to him by throwing his painting away after all the work he did to paint it.

Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonngut Blog #7 (120-140)
The narrator of this book discusses about Bokonon religion and I think that it can be easily related to. We are introduced to what they call a Pissant and they are defined in the book as people who think that they are very smart. They like to argue with other people about everything, if you say something they will say what’s wrong about it. I feel bad for them since they make a bad impression on people that they meet and don’t realize it until they have in some way offended them. Why is Bokononism so rejected in San Lorenzo? I think that it these people go too far stressing that they are a Christian nation in their airport posters. I also feel that these people are very strange. They seem to not eat much food and may be sick because of their swollen or bowed legs. I feel bad for them since they seem like “robot” people who do everything that is asked of them.

I feel bad for Lionel Boyd Johnson since he couldn’t get to where he wanted to go. he set out on his journey in 1911 in a ship named the Lady's Slipper. Eight miles away from his home he was stopped by a German submarine and taken by the U-99 as a prisoner. Afterwards the German boat was sunk and everybody was taken prisoner by the British ship. The British ship, The Raven was headed for the Mediterranean but lost its steering. He ended up in Cape Verde Islands for about eight months. When he finally left the vessel was blown ashore at Newport, Rode Island. Every time he tried to go to where he wanted to go to he was detoured for some reason. He then thought that there was a reason why he couldn’t go.

I think that Crosby and his wife have s good reason why they want to move their business to San Lorenzo. It is very good since he can get better people to help him work there. Back in Chicago they hardly got any work done because of human relations. If they move to San Lorenzo, the people are ignorant and they are similar to robots. They work and they are happy to work. The only bad thing about moving is the punishment of committing any crime, The Hook. I think that The Hook is too much of a punishment. For some crimes such as killing another person I think it is ok but if you were to steal something I think you don't deserve it. I would be very scared to make sure I don’t commit any crime or else I will be killed by The Hook.

I feel bad for Marvin Breed since his couldn’t marry Emily, the woman that he loved so much. He watched as she was taken by his brother and then later by Felix Hoenikker before her brother and Emily could get married. He had to endure the pain of watching his dream disappear in front of him. For that he hates Felix Hoenikker and leaves none of the blame for himself, his brother or Emily. I think it was all of their faults and Felix Hoenikker was the scapegoat and he took the blame. It was Marvin’s fault for not making it clear to everybody that he and Emily were going out. It was Marvin’s brother fault for taking her from him, and it was Emily’s fault for not loving one person. I think that the Breed family is very interesting since they are involved in many things in the town.
Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonngut Blog #3

Whenever Dr. Felix Hoenikker decided on working on something he would think that anything is possible. In the name of science he had many experiments and could possibly make anything imaginable. One of his “projects” was ice-nine which was suggested. The idea of ice-nine seems impossible especially in the size that Dr. Felix Hoenikker later created it in. The idea of ice-nine was to help solidify all wet or watery substances within a distance. Applied to the wrong area in theory the entire world’s water supplies can freeze over. The work of Dr. Felix Hoenikker is usually good but may be used before they are able to figure out the ramifications of their actions. I think that it was better for society that Dr. Felix Hoenikker has died since he won’t have to do any more research that could possibly end the world for real. There is foreshadowing in the book, people telling Jonah that Dr. Felix Hoenikker was not dead, that shows how he may not be dead.

Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonngut Blog #2
Dr. Felix Hoenikker is a very strange person and I think that as we read on we will find more interesting facts. A man ahead of his time according to Miss Faust, he was on the verge of craziness in society. I think that any person who is cooped up in a room for over 28 years to do whatever he wants to do whenever he wants to do it. He kept to himself and was not good talking to people. His childish activates show how the freedom has made him wonder about other things. I think that his coworkers done really care about him that much either since he didn’t talk to them so much. He didn’t any or as much as he needs to have of family time that his youngest child starts to resent him. I pity him to not be able to live a normal life just to help society advance with pure research.
The Lottery By Shirley Jackson
Compared to the video I think that the movie is creepier. The video shows how she died and they actually stoned her to death. I think that they shouldn’t do that since it would be better for everybody if there were more people since they could work more efficiently. The book was about the same as the book. The movie had shown more foreshadowing when the children were laughing and taking stones. It shows how evil the people were and how they cant tell the difference between right and wrong.
They gave the reader no reason why they would do the lottery. The only possibility for the lottery is either that they have fun doing it or it helps the people in some way. In the book the people are happy to have the lottery but when somebody gets the paper with the black dot the person says that it was unfair. They all want to stone somebody and are happy to stone anybody along as it is not its self.

Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonngut Blog #1
I think that this is a very interesting book. It tells the story of Jonah and his religion as a Bokonon. His goal was to publishing a book called The Day the World Ended. The book is about the Atom Bomb and would be made up by people recollections of what happened that day. I feel that this title is too dramatic and that the Atom Bomb would be like fire to a child. After they feel and see the true affect of something new they will know if it is good or bad. If you get burned by fire it will hurt and you will try not go get burned again. The same concept goes with the Atom Bomb, after they use it and see how bad or good it is they will realize either that it is great or will cause the demise of the human race and even start another World War. this book is very intersting so far.
The Outiders Movie
I think that the Outsiders was great movie. I think because of the size of the book, the movie director had the ability to make the movie as close to the book if not the same. I think that the book was good and the movie made everything realistic. Mostly everything went the way I expected it would in the book. If you like the book then you won’t be disappointed by this movie. It shows everything that happens in the book and is almost as detailed as the book. If you have already read the book and liked it you will like the movie. I think that this movie was great and should be read by everybody who are the book. It is not a movie i would watch over after the first time though since if you read the book you will be able to picture the entire movie in your head.
